After this, Psalms 92–100 would appear to be a subsection; all are anonymous. The refrain ‘The LORD reigns’ comes several times (93:1; 96:10; 97:1; 99:1) and there are other references to God being king (e.g. 95:3; 98:6). After this there are two older psalms ‘of David’ (101; 103) and one ‘of an afflicted person’ (102). All three reaffirm ‘the ongoing significance of Davidic kingship’1.
